Description
This 3-month, DOE approved program consists of both classroom instruction and hands on training. The course covers core and site-specific academics, radiological instrumentation, safety, and practical radiological survey technique instructions. Upon completion of the class, students have the opportunity to take the Department of Energy (DOE) RCT Core Exam, which qualifies them to work as an RCT at any DOE and commercial nuclear site and a number of other (EPA, Oil Fields and etc.) sites. After successful completion of the course, students are given the opportunity for additional 2-3 weeks of training that provides them with certifications in Radworker II and OSHA 40-hour HazWoper.
