Job Description

Under the direction of the PMO Manager and/or Senior Project Managers incumbent will assist in directing and managing project development from beginning to end. Candidate will assist in the development of full-scale project plans and associated communications documents in accordance with the PMO standardized templates. Incumbent will assist with project tasks such as taking meeting notes and scheduling meetings as assigned by the PMO Manager and/or Senior Project Managers and liaise with project stakeholders on an on-going basis.

In consultation with PMO Manager and/or Senior Project Managers incumbent will estimate resources and participants needed to achieve project goals, perform root-cause analysis on gaps, identify waste, and work with project management to drive sustainable corrective action. Incumbent will identify and resolve issues and conflicts within project team and notify PMO Manager and/or Senior Project Managers of project dependencies and critical path concerns.

Additional tasks include planning and scheduling project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools, and developing and delivering progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations as requested by PMO Manager and/or Senior Project Managers.

Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience with building project scope, goals, deliverables, and the implementation phases of software development (SDLC) or Agile Software Development.

Minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree

Working knowledge of PMBOK best practices

Minimum of 6 years hands-on experience with building project scope, goals, deliverables, and the implementation phases of software development (SDLC) or Agile Software Development.

Expert knowledge of Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, etc.), a minimum of 2 years using Microsoft Project, be able to develop project schedules with all dependencies and resource allocations using PMO standardized templates and have moderate experience with Microsoft Visio.

Project Management Professional (PMO) certification preferred.

Working experience at the State and Federal Government level is preferred.

Working experience with systems following Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines preferred.

Capable of prioritizing and managing assignments, tasks, and projects to completion with minimal supervision.
