Primary Purpose

The Director of Graduate Studies will work closely with members of the College of Education Leadership Team and program faculty to support graduate students and graduate program development. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-classified professional position that will oversee and coordinate recruitment and retention of graduate students, work closely with the Graduate School and COE program faculty around graduate student advising, and assist in the development of graduate programs. Traveling for recruitment events is required.

Example of Duties

-Student advising and other forms of graduate student assistance 40%

-Student recruitment and retention 30%

-Program development support 20%

-Data management and reporting 10%

Minimum Qualifications

- Master’s degree in related field

- At least three years experience performing related duties in admissions, recruitment, and/or advising in higher education- Ability to collaborate in a team environment, both within the COE and the larger campus community

- Strong interpersonal and customer-service skills

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Self-directed and highly organized

Preferred Qualifications

- Familiarity with academic program market research and data analysis

- Experience with database management

- Experience with social media for professional purposes

- Experience with Adobe Cloud or related software
