We have an opening for a Project Manager - NEPA Specialist to work on environmental permitting and planning for water resources projects. The successful applicant will have specialized experience of NEPA compliance in the form of an EA or EIS, Section 7 consultation in the form of a BA or BE, field surveys, and technical writing in the natural resources field.


Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage multi-disciplined NEPA projects with internal and external team members.

Manage the preparation of resource agency permit applications and environmental documents as required to facilitate the construction of projects as well as operation and maintenance activities.

Apply understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements to determine the permitting strategy for projects.

Assist with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.

Ensure work is conducted within the assigned constraints (i.e., budget and schedule) at the project and program levels.

Prepare scopes and costs for project proposals.

The position will require occasional travel within the US.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, Biology, or related degree.

10 - 12+ years of experience managing and/or working on NEPA related projects and writing technical reports.

Extensive knowledge and experience in federal environmental policies and regulations that pertain to NEPA regulations.

Working experience with all resources that may be analyzed in a NEPA analysis document.

Possesses strong oral and written communication skills including giving public presentations.

Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with others
