Job Description

Conduct Battelle Developmental Inventory (standardized evaluation) with children under 3 years old in family homes. During COVID evaluations will be completed in part through interviews using zoom and part through face-to-face testing at our clinic site.

Job responsibilities may also include substitute parent training for developmental specialists, autism specialists, or as needed.

Experience conducting assessments is very helpful, experience working with young children who have disabilities or delays a big plus. Must be able to develop and maintain relationships with families referred to the program. Hired applicant(s) must complete BDI evaluation training and pass off requirements, Baby Watch CSPD certification, Driver’s Awareness Training, Sexual Harassment Awareness Training, and background check.

+ Demonstrate competence administering and scoring the BDI 2NU standardized evaluation.

+ Must adhere to University travel and driving policies.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s degree in special education, Early Childhood development, Human Development and Family Studies, Social work, Early childhood development, psychology or other related degree

+ If applicable, Utah State licensure(s) required by the Utah Office of Occupational Licensing applicable to the profession

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Write and speak Spanish fluently

+ Baby Watch Early Intervention Credential II

+ Live in Box Elder County area

+ Experience in Early Intervention program in Utah

$14 per hour

Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes. The employee is regularly required to sit and often uses repetitive hand motions.
