Intern, Safety, Health & Environment - (Idaho, Montana or Central California US)

This is a Summer Internships beginning in May 2022 and lasting approximately 12 weeks.

What you will do:

Assist the Retail SH&E team with various duties predominantly related to Nutrien Ag Solutions Safety, Health, and Environment within the Ag Industry

Assist in Identifying SH&E, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and DHS regulations applicable to materials and processes at facilities and assist in understanding EHS, OSHA, EPA, DOT and DHS regulations, standards and programs

Participate in Investigation of incidents such as injuries, vehicle accidents, and property damage

Support anhydrous ammonia facility Process Safety Management plans

Analyze data and advise/propose effective corrective action and opportunities for improvement

Assist with the implementation and maintenance of SH&E programs, procedures, and policies

Support overall safety performance improvement

Travel with full time Safety Professionals throughout the West Region to gain a broad perspective for SH&E in the Ag Retail industry

What you will bring:

Currently enrolled in a university degree or diploma program in a Safety & Health or other applicable degree program

Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Experience with SAP EC and/or data analysis using Excel is considered an asset.

Strong written and verbal skills, good interpersonal and communication skills

Strong organizational skills, with a willingness to take on a variety of projects, a demonstrated ability to prioritize, and ability to work independently or part of a team

Experience managing multiple priorities and working in a team environment is an asset
