Light Equipment Operator for Road District 2 - Smelterville

Shoshone County is currently accepting applications for the position of Light Equipment Operator for Road District 2.  This position will be based out of our Smelterville Shop.  Equipment Operator performs a wide variety of duties, including construction and maintenance on all County roads and bridges including asphalt patching, crack sealing, seal coating, road buildup, shouldering, ditching, culvert installation, and other duties as necessary.  May include long hours of operation in inclement weather and hazardous conditions. 

Applicant must possess the following: CDL (Required), High School diploma or equivalent, and two years of experience in the safe operation and maintenance of light and medium equipment.  A pre-employment drug test will be required.

This is a full-time position with full benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision and PERSI retirement.  Starting pay for this position is $19.18 per hour with opportunities for advancement.  Optional training program provided for Idaho Road Scholar and Road Master certification.  Incentive provided upon completion of program(s).
