Responsible for the successful operationof UncorkedWine Bar
Create a welcoming and educational atmosphere, provide customer service that creates regulars and encourages repeat visitors, encourage folks to try new wines beyond their comfort level, stand up for honest wine
Educate our customers about wines
Write and maintain an exciting beverage list by thoughtfully selecting wine by the glass, beer, cider, and wine flights
Assist with Wine Club selections including writing tasting notes and pairing suggestions
Curatea balanced wine selection by catering to market demands as well ashighlighting unique,sustainable,small producers
Educate Wine Bar Server and Wine Shop Staff on new wines by the glass, wine club selections, promotions, and specials
Constant collaborationand communicationacross departments - Deli, Wine Shop, Beer, Data Entry, Marketing, Front End & IT
Assist with classes and special events
Maintain a clean tasting room environment & run through a daily checklist
Handle day-to-day operations on the cash register/POS system
Maintain respectful communications; practice behaviors that exhibit a strong work ethic and encourage teamwork
Observe safety and security procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions
Flexible schedule - most weekends & occasional evenings and special events


Must have working knowledge of beers and of wines of the world, including Old World, New World, Domestic, and current trends
Must be at least 21 years of age
Able to pass a background check
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with many interruptions
Demonstrate leadership behaviors and work ethic to motivate staff and encourage teamwork
Treat all employees fairly and consistently in a style appropriate to a cooperative work environment
Strong sales experience and ability to reach goals and up sell
Adhere to all company procedures and Idaho laws
Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite
Understand operations of wine club, packaging, pickups and communication with wine club members
Anticipate guests and store needs by constantly evaluating the environment
Maintain regular and punctual attendance, with or without reasonable accommodation
Comply with all departmental policies and procedures
Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently
