Job Description

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a project from start to finish. This candidate will be able to create a plan of action which will consider a fixed timeline and evaluate risks. This individual should also have experience managing people and be an effective communicator.

Compensation for the Senior Project Manager

  • The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $125,000 depending on experience
  • Full benefits available including: 100% full paid employee benefits, 401k match, company vehicle or monthly allowance, profit sharing, cell phone, laptop, and business credit card

Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager

  • Assist with management of project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate Troubleshoot problems associated with coordinating and developing the construction projects
  • Liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities and ensure client needs are met
  • Oversee and execute timely owner/subcontractor contracts with accuracy, be thorough and follow to completion with protected interest of the company
  • Exceed client expectations including time, budget, quality and means of communication.
  • Manage project contracts to protect the company’s interest while maintaining good client relations
  • Manage financial aspects of project and ensure accurate and timely submission of documentation
  • Provide leadership to Project Teams by establishing and communicating the client, architect, and company roles and responsibilities, in line with the company’s objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
  • Ensure accurate initial estimating of project to ensure profitability
  • Forecast and clearly communicate potential project issues to the Director of Construction
  • Monitor/control construction through on-site supervision to ensure completion deadline within budget
  • Investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures
  • Monitor and manage project issues, Change Orders, submittals, and RFIs to ensure project progress
  • Accurately forecast project profits on a monthly basis
  • Clear communication to the owner of schedule impacts as early as possible
  • Represent the company in project meetings and assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc
  • Be a productive and effective teammate working with clients, architects, engineers, and sub-contractors
  • Plan, organize, and execute with key team members to ensure the projects’ success
  • Monitor and manage the project team members
  • Ensure all billings, accounts receivables, and payables documentation are submitted on a timely basis
  • Provide clear communication to project team, ensuring everyone has the same information and expectations
  • Ensure no project objectives are missed by consistent communication and oversight of team members

 

Requirements for the Senior Project Manager

  • Five (5) years’ successful working experience in project management, preferably in a commercial construction setting
  • Ability to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance with thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • learn understanding of company mission and values
  • Must have strong problem solving, negotiating, and interpersonal skills
  • Organized, reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team-oriented atmosphere while maintaining confidentiality
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required
  • Team-first attitude with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient with project management software (Procore preferred), Microsoft Project for scheduling
  • Degree in Construction Management or equivalent work experience preferred
