Exciting opportunity to join Jacobs Engineering as a Senior Drainage Engineer. This role will include being directly involved in the design of hydraulics, drainage systems and stormwater management, MS4, and erosion control for transportation projects.

- Engineering design for numerous roadway drainage and design-build projects including collector streets, urban arterials, rural and urban expressways, interstates and bridge replacements across the southeast.

- Planning, scheduling, coordinating, and overseeing the work of Staff-level Engineers.

- Assist in all aspects of roadway drainage design including bridge hydraulic studies, culvert design, closed drainage system design, post construction water quality structures design, municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4), and erosion and sedimentation control.

- Directing client interaction.

- Support business development initiatives.

- Work as part of a design team to continually seek to identify and implement improved technical solutions throughout final design.

- Perform quality assurance/quality control, ensuring that cost, schedule and quality objectives are met for transportation engineering activities.

- Possess good communication (written and verbal), team work skills and the flexibility to complete a wide range of tasks including field work.

Here’s What You’ll Need:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical field is required/

- Professional Engineer (PE) Registration is required, CA desired.

- Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) certification is highly preferred.

- GSWCC Certified Design Professional Level II

- 10+ years of drainage design experience.

- Proficiency in utilizing Microstation, InRoads, StormCAD, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-GeoRAS, HEC-HMS, Hydraflow Hydrographs, XP-SWMM software, and other software packages typically associated with H&H studies is required.

The base salary range for this position is $107,800 to $168,400. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
