The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

If so, consider this broad-based Director opportunity within the Home Office International Actuarial and Analytics team. This position provides exposure to all lines of business, across multiple geographic locations, and across all U.S. domestic segments: Personal Insurance, Business Insurance, and Bond and Specialty Insurance including exposure to senior leadership.
The Director, Actuarial and Analytics is an analytic leadership role that is responsible for the implementation of a variety of actuarial/statistical techniques and analyses which may include reserving, rate making, pricing, planning/forecasting, project management and research. This role is expected to execute strategic and operational initiatives, drive change within assigned unit, provide analytical insights and recommendations to leadership and business partners, and share ownership of the business’s financial results. The Director, Actuarial and Analytics will work within broad limits and authority on complex assignments requiring specialized knowledge and expertise in breadth and/or depth in one or more of the following areas: Actuarial and/or research methods Advanced statistical analyses Broad business knowledge In-depth Line of Business knowledge Broader awareness of enterprise Actuarial & Analytics community
This role may act as a manager of a small team.
What Will You Do?
+ Lead cross International reserve consolidation, coordination, peer review, and analysis support. Includes significant interaction with reserving actuaries and senior leadership in each country, in the U.S. domestic segments, and in corporate, as well as being a key liaison with US based BI Shared Actuarial / Tools and Consolidation / MARS / SATURN support team.
+ Support the Global Business Unit BAU through understanding/improving efficiency of claims systems/handling, identifying abnormalities, planning/pricing support, prioritizing projects, and creating efficiencies.
+ Perform / oversee / peer review quarterly 6 Global reserve reviews. Participate in deep dive reviews or special analyses as required (e.g., Latent Claims review).
+ Manage ALDP Global BU Support actuary position which will perform and enhance reporting, reserving, planning, and pricing across all of Global Business Unit.
+ Monitor, compile, and report on/represent catastrophe and LRRF results across international.
+ Gain and leverage knowledge of local country regulatory environment and standards.
