Forklift Operator Job description
Compensation: $13.00 per hour Job Type: Full-time, year round
Duties:
- Handling raw materials, i.e. potatoes in 50 pound boxes, 1000-pound totes, etc.
- Overseeing equipment, you operate to make sure it is safe
- Complying with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations and other safety considerations.
- Optimizing space by using organizational skills
- Utilizing specialized forklift attachments, such as drum handlers, clamps and rotators.
Requirements:
- Ability to operate relevant machinery.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and use of hand/power tools.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions.
- Observational and safety skills to recognize hazards or safety risks and respond accordingly.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
