What you will be doing The ideal candidate is self-starting strategic sourcing professional with extensive corporate services-related experience who can pick up and run with their assigned categories and help to identify and gain support for new sourcing opportunities with stakeholders. The position will be based in Boise, Idaho, or one of our main regional offices (Seattle, WA, Portland, OR, Pleasanton CA, Denver CO, Dallas TX, Chicago, IL, or Fullerton, CA, Phoenix, AZ). Main responsibilities * Participating in spend analytics and work planning efforts * Developing and contributing to category sourcing strategies for assigned categories * Leading complex sourcing initiatives in areas such as HR, Legal, Finance, Travel, etc. including in-depth fact-based negotiations and contracting efforts * Developing and executing supplier management plans, such as QBRs, annual reviews, and ensuring suppliers are performing to expectations * Negotiating and writing commercial terms into agreements, such as: rate cards and service level agreements, * Supporting and conducting ad hoc strategic negotiation events for different categories across the organization * Utilizing strong analytical skills: including strong experience combining and working with large data sets in Excel, and able to transform data into clear and relevant information * Developing and delivering high quality presentations across all levels of the organization, knowing how to tailor the presentation to the audience * Establishing strong relationships and lead stakeholders / cross-functional teams to get process buy-in * Using eSourcing tools, including Scout RFP, PerAngusta, and SpendHQ * Creating Strategic Sourcing partnerships in order to increase addressable spend * Experience with analytically challenging projects including a thorough understanding of budgeting and financial management * Collaborating with sourcing and business analysts on building the financial model utilized to support negotiation events and/or savings reporting * Leading and/or developing other sourcing professionals We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience: * 4-year college degree, graduate degree preferred. * 6+ years’ experience leading complex strategic sourcing projects with at least 3-4 years experience with any of the following service-focused categories: * HR benefits and services * consulting services * legal services * store services (audits, remodels, merchandising resets) * pharmacy services * facility-related services (small parcel, physical security, furniture, mailroom, etc) * travel and insurance\ * other professional services * Experience in developing and managing team members, stakeholders, and strategic supplier relationships * Strong experience with contract negotiations and managing strategic supplier alliances * Experience partnering with legal and negotiating and writing commercial terms and conditions * Strong business writing, analytical, influencing, and oral communications skills Preferred Qualifications: * Project Management skillset (PMP certification, Agile methodology, etc) * Prior management consulting experience\ * People management and development experience * Degree or minor in quantitative field such as economics, math, statistics, managerial accounting, business management, etc. is preferred What it is like at Albertsons?
