We are looking for a?Project Manager – Rail to join our team of dedicated professionals in Southern or Northern California. As a Rail PM, you’ll have the chance to work on exciting and engaging impactful infrastructure projects with a focus on planning and advanced conceptual engineering, final design, construction procurement and support services during construction. You will have the opportunity to take on the responsibility of supporting our entire team from the initial pursuit of new work with our key clients through the development of project budgets and work plans, establishing project priorities, developing staffing forecasts, and overseeing the technical quality of our deliverables. All along the way, you’ll demonstrate your business acumen to both our internal team and our external clients.???

Here’s What You’ll Need:
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
+ Professional Engineering License in the State of California or the ability to obtain one quickly upon employment
+ General and specific understanding of the A&E industry and the project delivery life-cycle from planning and programming through design, procurement, construction and closeout. Emphasis on planning, design and the public agency procurement process is critical to the success of this project manager role.
+ Experience and understanding of project management including planning and budgeting, fee development, writing scopes of work for design and related services, creating work breakdown structures and project delivery schedules for design and related services.
+ Experience with civil engineering design of transportation projects with a focus on rail projects (commuter, freight, light rail)
+ Design software user (AutoCAD with Civil 3d, MicroStation with OpenRoads/Rail)
+ Strong User of Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project desired )
+ 5-10 years’ experience.
More specific duties may include coordinating and planning the assembly of plans, specifications and construction estimate (PS&E) packages, design report and technical memoranda, analyses, investigations (including field investigations), and railroad operations and safety elements.
Additionally, this person will be viewed as a key point of contact between the client and Jacobs. Travel within SoCal areas between offices and client offices will be required. The person should be comfortable with being viewed as a technical expert with recognized authority in an area of specialization that resolves problems of greater scope and complexity while planning and developing projects or design/construction activities which have significant impact on major company programs. You must also be able to plan, organize, and supervise work of medium to large numbers of professional staff and technicians both in the office and in the field.

Typical salary range for this position is $117,400 to $183,500, and is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
