JOB TITLE: Ranch Hand/Operations Associate
DEPARTMENT: Operations, Kuna Idaho
REPORTS TO: Operations Senior Manager
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ranch Hand will play a major supporting role in all aspects of day-to-day operations of the Kuna Ranch, working closely with all Operations Staff. Primarily responsible for assisting with all Ranch tasks including: feeding, cleaning, and handling livestock; construction and maintenance; assisting fulfillment and operations staff; and other projects as availability permits. Ranch Hands follow the examples set by their managers and exude a professional demeanor at all times. As core members of our growing team, RHs must maintain high standards of reliability & dependability, safety, and work ethic and be flexible, adaptable, and team-oriented with regard to work schedule, task execution, and productivity. All staff are expected to stay on-ranch for the entire work day. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
● Daily feeding and watering of all ranch livestock, strictly adhering to highly detailed feeding schedules for numerous different lots and feeding regimens
- Daily cleaning of all livestock grow-out facilities, Incubation Facility, & ranch equipment
- Assist in customer order fulfillment and with operations, construction, and maintenance projects
- Handle livestock of all ages, including: grading and sorting; tracking inventory, size, & health; moving, examining, and logging mortality
- Maintain electronic records and contribute to reports documenting ranch activities, ostrich health concerns and treatments; other duties as assigned
- Assist in maintaining and repairing equipment, vehicles, and buildings; assist with construction of new animal facilities as we continue to expand the ranch
- Follow & enforce all AOF policies & protocols, contribute to our highly biosecure, clean ranch philosophy
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Starting pay $19-25/hour DOE. Promotions and pay increases are swift for those who perform in our meritocratic environment
