Oracle APEX Technical Program Manager Intern

We are seeking a talented and motivated Technical Program Manager Intern to join the Oracle APEX product development team and help us develop and deliver world-class software and services. As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a globally distributed team on several initiatives in developing and delivering Oracle APEX and several strategic APEX special projects. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in program management, software development processes, and cross-functional collaboration. This is a paid internship position, and the duration of the internship will be specified upon selection.

Responsibilities

+ Assist Technical Program Managers in planning, organizing, and managing application development projects within the Oracle APEX team.

+ Support the coordination of resources, including development teams, quality assurance, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful project execution.

+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and design, to gather requirements, define project objectives, and establish project scope.

+ Participate in sprint planning, stand-up meetings, project meetings, document meeting minutes, and follow up on action items to ensure timely completion.

+ Help maintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables, using Atlassian Confluence and Jira project management software.

+ Contribute to the identification and mitigation of project risks, including monitoring dependencies and proactively addressing potential obstacles.

+ Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making processes and contribute to the process improvements in the Oracle APEX team.

+ Collaborate with team members to improve communication, foster collaboration, and ensure alignment between different project stakeholders.

+ Take initiative to learn and understand the Oracle APEX platform, its features, and capabilities.

+ Develop small applications using Oracle APEX by following hands on labs and other tutorials.

Qualifications

+ Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

+ Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and project management principles.

+ Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

+ Solid written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

+ Familiarity with Agile or other iterative software development methodologies is a plus.

+ Knowledge of database technologies and SQL is preferred.

+ Ability to quickly learn new technical concepts and tools.

+ Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar) is a plus.

+ A self-starter with a proactive attitude and the ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment.

Oracle is proud to sponsor an internship and integration program that exposes transitioning military veterans and Military Spouses new to the corporate culture, provides hands-on job-skill training and experience, and offers enhanced professional and personal development. Our paid intern program is specifically designed to aid military veterans injured during training missions and military campaigns worldwide and active duty military spouses new to the corporate sector in their transition to a career in the private or public sector.

Additional Information:

Hourly wage is $30 per hour with NO OVERTIME and NO BENEFITS. This is a 40 hour per week position

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from $19.62 to $38.32 per hour; from: $40,800 to $79,700 per annum.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
