Job Description
Senior Software Engineer ( Java, Spring Boot, AWS)We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS to help design, develop, and maintain mission- critical law enforcement applications and services. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross- functional teams to deliver high- quality software solutions. A key responsibility will involve migrating legacy . NET monolithic systems to a modern microservices architecture.
Our technology ecosystem includes React- based web applications, mobile apps, and desktop applications built with Electron. Therefore, a solid understanding of full- stack development and the ability to troubleshoot across platforms is essential. You will work alongside Developers, Cloud Engineers, Cybersecurity Specialists, and Quality Assurance Engineers.
About the Team:
Our team leverages a cutting- edge tech stack, including Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Hibernate. We utilize AWS cloud services with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Terragrunt. Our systems are designed using microservices architecture with a strong focus on scalability and security.
Security is a top priority; a significant portion of your work will focus on improving system resilience. We use tools like Wiz, TruffleHog, Dependabot, and Checkmarx. Developers are encouraged to leverage AI tools to support clean, efficient, and consistent coding practices.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of hands- on development experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
- Proven expertise in building and deploying cloud- native applications on AWS.
- Strong experience with microservices design and development.
- Familiarity with . NET backends and the ability to understand, maintain, and migrate legacy code.
- Comfortable working across multiple front- end and client platforms, including React, mobile apps, and Electron- based desktop apps.
- Proficiency with DevSecOps and security tools ( e. g., Wiz, TruffleHog, Dependabot, Checkmarx).
- Experience with building resilient and scalable systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field ( Master's preferred).
- Design and deliver high- quality, scalable, and maintainable software using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and modern DevOps practices.
- Write clear and maintainable code along with thorough documentation of architecture and processes.
- Collaborate with security teams to proactively identify and implement measures that enhance system resilience.
- Ensure adherence to development best practices, coding standards, and internal policies.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge- sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot and ensure full- stack functionality across various platforms including legacy . NET services, React web apps, mobile platforms, and Electron desktop applications.
