Job Description
IT / INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST
Regular Full Time Status: Exempt / Salary Reports to: Lead IT Specialist
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and/or software problems.
- Install and establish systems for users, including personal computers, printer, scanner, and related equipment.
- Establish network and e-mail access for users.
- Support and maintain user account information including access, security, and systems groups.
- Install, maintain, and upgrade system hardware, software, and peripherals.
- Assist in security and anti-virus systems operation and maintenance.
- Knowledge Of SNSA (SonicWALL) firewall
- Network cable routing
- Create your own network cables.
- Knowledge of Office 365 Admin Portal
- Knowledge of HIPA Compliance
- Operate system backups.
- Upgrade and amend system programs.
- Monitor and maintain equipment and supply inventories.
- Operate helpdesk to respond to user issues and questions.
- Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and remain calm and professional under pressure.
- Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and records
- Server management
- Maintain Active Directories
- Travel to different office sites for repairs or network routing
- Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED
- Systems administration (Window server) experience
- Current driver’s license and proof of auto insurance
Preferred
- Additional technical training and/or computer certification
- Networks Security (fire wall) information security analyst
- Two years computer related experience in help desk or related mode
- HTML experience and Windows/NT experience with conceptual knowledge of Wide Area Networking concepts
Required Physical Demands
- Is required to stand for long periods of time; must frequently walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms; grasping/holding.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
Work Environment
Work in an office setting; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles.
