Job Description

(48) Truck Driver: Temporary, Full Time. Min 48 hrs/week, Monday to Sunday 12-hour night shifts, variable start times between 1:00 PM and 3:00 AM (4 days on, 2 days off). Min $25.38/hr. Additional hours/days may be available based upon company needs. Hours worked more than 48/week will be paid at straight rate of $25.38. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. The employer will make all deductions from worker's paycheck required by law. Wages will be paid every two weeks. Employment period October 1, 2025, to April 10, 2026.  

Vehicles are dispatched from our dispatch office located at 2839 Highway 39, American Falls, ID, 83211. Drivers will haul sugar beets located in various rural locations (pile grounds) inside Power, Minidoka and Twin Falls Counties, ID (SOUTHEAST-CENTRAL IDAHO NONMETROPOLITAN AREA). Once loaded the trucks return to the sugar beet processing factories located inside Power, Minidoka and Twin Falls Counties, ID. They are unloaded and then report to dispatch to pick up another load located in rural Power, Minidoka and Twin Falls Counties, ID (SOUTHEAST-CENTRAL IDAHO NONMETROPOLITAN AREA). This can be done up to 5 times a day.  

Optional furnished housing, utilities, and if available shuttle/van transportation from housing location to dispatch location, offered on a limited first-come first-served basis at a cost of $20.00 per day, which will be deducted from bi-weekly paycheck.  

Drive heavy and tractor-trailer trucks, belly dump trailers (singles and doubles) with a capacity of at least 26,001 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW) transporting agricultural commodity (mostly sugar beets). Regularly climb up and down, on, into and out of tractors and trailers, up to five (5) feet high. Able to sit and remain alert while driving. 12-hour night shifts as needed.  Class A Commercial Driver's License or equivalent required; Minimum 6 months Heavy and Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver experience required. No education requirements. No OJT needed.   

If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts.  

Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
