Description

Purchasing Agents are responsible for procurement of goods, quality compliance and inventory management.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages supply chain risks
  • Builds long-term, collaborative relationships with preferred suppliers
  • Procures customized items
  • Evaluates supplier quotes and services
  • Evaluates supplier performance
  • Identifies qualified vendors for difficult to source items
  • Evaluates cost savings opportunities and presents findings
  • Evaluates forecasts to maintain desired inventory levels
  • Prepares, issues, and maintains purchase orders for timely delivery
  • Executes inventory replenishment requests
  • Maintains factory shortage report
  • Assists in the investigation of non-conforming materials and takes corrective action
  • Assists in the reconciliation of receiving/invoicing/billing discrepancies
  • Coordinates the return of non-conforming material
  • Maintains procurement records, including ERP data and notations
  • Helps streamline and automate procurement and purchasing processes
  • Represents the Purchasing Team on special project teams or task forces
  • Other purchasing duties as assigned
