Job Description

POSITION TITLE: MAINTENANCE TRADES TECH/REPAIRMAN  

LOCATION:  SCHOOL MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT

CLOSING DATE:  For best consideration, please apply by July 3, 2025. However, position will be open until filled.

ADDITIONAL INFO:  Eight hours per day

DAYS:  Twelve month employment

SALARY SCHEDULE:          Rate of pay will be $19.02 per hour

START DATE: As soon as possible.

JOB SUMMARY:  Provides assistance to the trades' technicians in the operation, maintenance and repair of District facilities.  The work is performed under the general supervision of the Maintenance Foreman.  This position regularly performs tasks wherever needed to maintain effective and efficient facilities and operations.   The principal duties of this position are performed in indoor and outdoor environments, sometimes performing physically demanding and hazardous duties associated with electronic and mechanical systems, and dealing with adverse weather conditions.  Must have knowledge of lock systems, entry systems, cctv systems and basic knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing and building maintenance skills. Must have good computer skills.  Must have knowledge of building codes and OSHA safety codes. Must be able to lift objects that weigh up to 50 pounds. Driving to and from various district locations is required.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or GED quivalency is preferred.  Must have experience in building maintenance.  Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.  Must have a valid Idaho Drivers License free of any DUI convictions within the last five years.
