Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP, and have proficiency in various accounting software. This role is critical in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Telecom Accounting Preferred but not required.
• Perform account reconciliation to ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Utilize accounting software such as AS400 and other software platforms for efficient record-keeping.
• Manage double entry bookkeeping processes to maintain accurate ledgers.
• Analyze financial concepts and provide insights to support decision-making.
• Collaborate with team members on private equity projects and financial audits.
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Quicken and PeopleSoft.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
• Experience with account reconciliation and double entry bookkeeping.
• Advanced skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Familiarity with financial concepts related to private equity is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
