Grangeville PT Location!

Performs general, non-technical duties; assists Physical Therapist and PTA in positioning, lifting, transferring and treatment of patients; maintains equipment and facilities.

 Essential Job Functions:

·       Under the direction of a physical therapist or PTA assists with physical therapy services in inpatient and outpatient setting.

·       Maintains and enhances personal knowledge as well as promoting professional standards in physical therapy.

·       Assists in transporting, transferring, and immobilizing of patients.

·       Will act as a receptionist, greet patients, and answer phones.

·       Is responsible for the daily cleaning of equipment and maintaining neatness throughout the department.

·       Organizes assigned work and accurately completes workload.

·       Under the supervision of the PT or PTA, will help in the training of new employees

·       Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.

·       Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times.  Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.

·       Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

·       Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.

Minimum Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent.

·       Completion of a Physical Therapy Technician/Aide program is preferred.

·       Previous experience as a CNA or other relevant clinical experience.

·       Basic understanding of physical therapy modalities, safe transfer and transport techniques as well as exercise technique.

Full time, M-TH 8-2:30pm, F 8-4:30
