Shifts: Rotating (Day/Graveyard)

What You’ll Do

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls with professionalism and empathy
• Dispatch law enforcement, medical, and all emergency services quickly and accurately
• Maintain detailed call records, radio logs, and reports
• Support jail communications and assist with clerical tasks
• Stay calm and organized in high-pressure, fast-paced situations

What We’re Looking For

• Strong communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused under stress
• Computer proficiency and accurate typing (45 WPM minimum)
• Team player with integrity and professionalism

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Driver’s License
• Pass background checks (no felony arrests; no illegal drug use in past 5 years)
• Typing test required

Training & Certification

• Attend POST Communications Academy in Meridian, Idaho (approx. 2 weeks) within first year
• All travel, lodging, and related expenses fully paid by the County
• Extensive on-the-job and in-house training provided
