Job Description

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE

Regular Full Time                  Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly              Reports to: ACCOUNTANT

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)

  • Reconcile accounts to general ledger
  • Maintain and balance petty cash fund
  • Prepare and make bank deposits
  • Receive and process payments from patients & other payers
  • Monitor outstanding balances and initiate follow-up on past-due accounts
  • Make collection calls and or send collection notices in accordance with clinic policy
  • Maintain accurate and up to date records of all transactions and collection activities
  • Provide clear, professional assistance to patients regarding their account balances
  • Explain clinic payment policies and options to patients in both English and Spanish
  • Prepare and make daily bank deposits
  • Reconcile receipts & prepare related reports for internal use
  • Provides general clerical and accounting assistance
  • Maintains files, logs, and other records
  • Assists department accountants as directed
  • Ability to perform duties with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, work well under pressure, and maintain a calm and professional demeanor Assists department accountants, as directed
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and computer program applications
  • Explain CC Idaho procedures/policies/programs to vendors and customers and resolve customer concerns Prepare, distribute and maintain a variety of documents, correspondence, log sheets, applications and related documents 
  • Process and maintain computerized account balances and related information Verify billing information, services, and other information and customers 
  • Provides general clerical and accounting assistance Maintains files, logs and other records.
  •  Ability to perform duties with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines Knowledge of customer service principles and procedures 
  • Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demean or Assist department accountants, as directed. 
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and computer program applications 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts 
  • Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and client records 
  • Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices

 

Required Physical Demands

  • Is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Work Environment

Work in an office or classroom setting; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate to elevated
