Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate log trucks safely and efficiently in off-road and rural environments
- Load and secure log loads in compliance with DOT and safety standards
- Transport logs from job sites to mills or designated drop-off locations
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure truck safety and functionality
- Communicate clearly with logging crews and dispatch to coordinate routes
- Maintain accurate delivery records
Requirements:
- Valid CDL (Class A) license with clean driving record
- Experience is not necessary. We will train you to drive log trucks or haul in off-road conditions (steep grades, switchbacks, tight clearances)
- Comfortable driving in all weather and terrain conditions
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and load securement requirements
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team attitude
- Must pass a drug screening and background check
Preferred:
- Familiarity with the local logging industry and road systems is a plus
- Some mechanical knowledge a plus (basic troubleshooting and maintenance)
