Duties:
Position Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies. This role includes preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling accounts, performing month-end and year-end close activities, and supporting audits. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with internal departments to maintain accurate financial records and support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.

- Monthly account reconciliations
- Monthly accounting workpapers
- House cost review against budgeted amounts and accruing for unspent work
- Reviewing housing revenue entries for accuracy and completion
- Researching payments for other departments and doing journal entry reclassifications as-needed
- Answering account coding questions for other divisional team members
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
- 3-5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
