Job Description

Blue Cross of Idaho is seeking a Clinical Support Specialist that provides outreach, support and care coordination for members identified for clinical programs. Complete administrative tasks to support operational tasks of clinical programs.

We are looking for a candidate with:
Experience: 4 years' administrative support within health insurance, healthcare, or health related industry

Education: Associates Degree in Healthcare related field; or equivalent work experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one-year college
  • Complete member outreach to educate members about the benefits of clinical program services with the goal for them to adopt or use the services.
  • Identify members healthcare needs and provide intervention for members with care coordination needs.
  • Respond to, triage, and process clinical program referrals.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Enter and maintain documentation of interactions with members, providers, or other stakeholders that meets legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements.
  • Manage and supports special programs within the department.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is $20.93 to $35.77. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance.

The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
