Job Description

NxEdge, an Enpro company, is seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll work closely with the Accounting Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. You'll be responsible for maintaining general ledgers, preparing reconciliations, analyzing accounts, supporting audits, and contributing to process improvements across the accounting function.

Key Responsibilities

Month-End & Quarter-End Close
  • Perform monthly close activities including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, fixed assets, leases, and intercompany transactions
  • Prepare and verify journal entries and financial reports
  • Maintain accurate P&L and balance sheet accounts
  • Conduct monthly OneStream balance sheet reconciliations
Audit & Compliance
  • Support quarterly and annual internal and external audits
  • Provide analysis and commentary on assigned accounts for quarterly SOX analytics process
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards
Process Improvement & Collaboration
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process automation and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives

Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; Big 4 or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP and cost accounting principles
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with ERP systems; OneStream experience is a plus
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with accuracy
