Job Description
This is a grant-funded position supporting the National Park Service in Lapwai, Idaho.
The funding for this position requires applicants be at least 55 years old.
NEW Solutions connects experienced workers (ages 55+) with the National Park Service (NPS). These experienced professionals provide administrative expertise, facilities management, natural and cultural resource planning, and a broad array of other professional skills that support the National Park Service through the Experienced Services Program (ESP).
Positions listed here do not guarantee employment for any definite period. Enrollment in the Experienced Worker Programs administered by NEW Solutions is temporary. The enrollment relationship between NEW Solutions and the Enrollee is an “at-will” relationship. This means that an Enrollee is free to terminate enrollment at any time during the enrollment period, and NEW Solutions and the Agency have the right to terminate the relationship with the Enrollee.

Duties:
The enrollee will provide guidance and assist park staff with acquisition planning and implementation, development and management of agreements, budget management, and other administrative functions. They will also assist park managers with ensuring that all three park units effectively plan and spend available funds to maximize public benefit at all three NPS sites.
- Provide guidance and support park staff in developing acquisition plans that may include: contracting vehicle selection, developing statements of work, source selection strategies, estimating costs, market research, related schedules and other relevant elements of acquisition planning. 20%
- Provide guidance and support park staff in developing and management agreements with park partners 20%
- Provide assistance to park staff in general financial management for the three parks 20%
- Supports and maintains financial management activities at all three NPS units 25%
- Assists in property management across the three park sites 10%
- Assist in other administrative functions across the three parks 5%
Qualifications:
Minimum of 8 year(s) of experience in federal acquisition or administrative program management OR BA/BS Degree
- Knowledge of FBMS, GrantSolutions, DOI/NPS Financial Assistance polices, and DOI/NPS contracting polices
- Experience required with Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Teams, MS Outlook, MS SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat
