Local art and furniture gallery seeking a passionate individual to join our team!
About us: Northwest Handmade has been a purveyor of local art and furniture, bringing beautiful creations to Sandpoint and the surrounding area for over 29 years. With over 130 artists on display and along with our furniture makers, we connect this talent to our community. The love of art, creativity and connection is at the heart of our business. We are a retail storefront in downtown Sandpoint, open 7-days a week.
Seeking: multiple positions from Retail Sales Associate to Management for part-time and full-time positions. Ability to work weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and artists with a positive and friendly attitude
- Help maintain a neat and clean environment
- Flexibility in performing various store duties, i.e. cashier, phone calls, returns, inventory needs, product placement
- Assisting managers with inventory tasks, i.e. receiving, counting, returns,
- Basic understanding of software applications and computer skills
- Ability to collaborate and engage within a team-oriented environment
- Ability to lift/move items 10-50 lbs., climb ladders, continuous standing, and walking
- Gain knowledge of furniture lines to help in placing custom orders
