Western States Rebar Fabrication located in Meridian, ID is looking for a Reinforcing Steel (Rebar) experienced Detailer in our Meridian branch to oversee the management, coordination, and production of reinforcing steel projects, and coordinate the placing drawings produced by our detailers for multiple sized construction projects. You must maintain ongoing and complete records for each project regarding detailing, reviewing/checking, Engineering submittals, change order costs, RFI's and at the same time be an effective liaison between the customer, jobsite, detailers and our rebar and post-tension fabrication shop, shipping department and on-site field crews.

Must have rebar detailing experience and be familiar with concrete construction. Concrete and/or rebar field experience would be a definite advantage. You must be a multi-tasker who has excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, and can effectively manage a team of detailers to finish their work efficiently and within deadlines. At the start of each project, you will collaborate with other department heads to discuss the scope and budget.

* This is an in-house, full-time position located at our office/shop in our Meridian, ID branch. We are NOT hiring for remote or contract positions.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and document all aspects of the project, work closely with upper management to make sure that the scope and direction of each project are on schedule
  • Prepare drawing packages and issue to the client as per scheduled delivery dates.
  • Meet with the client at the start of the project to establish communication, guidelines, expectations, anticipate changes and needed adjustments and make sure both parties work well together during the longevity of the project
  • Coordinate with team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and scope of work
  • Manage RFIs and Change Orders.
  • Work with the team of Detailers, Modelers and Checkers to achieve desired results.
  • Meeting Project Delivery Deadlines.
  • Ensure all the office procedures, manuals and client standards are understood and followed.
  • Keeping track of schedules and deliveries on all the jobs
  • Maintain project reports and tracking.
  • Coordinate with all internal departments and clients based on the project demands.
