Summary
The Valley County Road & Bridge Department is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Support Specialist to join our team. This is an entry-level position perfect for someone who is a quick learner, has a great attitude, and is eager to provide excellent customer service and administrative support. Typical Duties & Responsibilities
As an integral part of the Valley County Road & Bridge Department team, the Office Support Specialist provides excellent customer service by greeting and assisting the public in person and over the phone. This role involves addressing inquiries, providing information about department services, and directing calls to the correct staff. 

The specialist also handles a wide range of clerical and administrative duties, including data entry, filing, scanning, and copying documents. They are responsible for managing a variety of incoming and outgoing correspondence—from physical mail to emails and faxes—and drafting routine letters as needed. They also assist with inventory control, including ordering parts and supplies and scanning them into an automated inventory system. 

Additionally, the specialist assists with maintaining and updating key department records like service requests and work orders, all while collaborating closely with colleagues to ensure the office runs smoothly and efficiently.
