Job Description
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining the sites technology environment, ensuring reliable performance of all systems and networks in alignment with the direction of the health systems Technology strategy. Additionally, it provides end user support (Tier 2) to employees by assisting with hardware and software issues as directed by local leadership, troubleshooting technical problems, and offering guidance on system use.
Working closely with aligned cross-functional (Technology, Informatics, Application) IT teams and various other departments, the engineer resolves incidents, installs and configures devices (access points, routers, hardware, etc.), and delivers solutions that foster productivity, while strictly adhering to established health system protocols and security standards. Emphasizing responsive customer service and technical expertise, the IT Infrastructure Engineer helps ensure a seamless and secure user experience throughout the organization.
Essential Job Functions:
- Maintain reliable performance of all systems and networks in alignment with health system technology strategy.
- Provide end user support for hardware and software issues, troubleshooting technical problems as directed by local leadership.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams and other departments to resolve incidents and deliver effective solutions.
- Install and configure devices such as access points, routers, and other hardware to support workplace productivity based on organizational priority.
- Adhere strictly to established health system protocols and security standards.
- Emphasize responsive customer service and technical expertise to ensure a seamless and secure user experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum 2 years in desktop/end-user support, preferably in healthcare.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common healthcare applications.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, remote support tools, and ticketing systems.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
