Our Corporate Development Senior Manager leads complex corporate development initiatives that advance enterprise growth and diversification. This individual contributor role partners with executive leadership, finance, and business units to identify, assess, and execute strategic transactions. Ensures financial rigor, valuation accuracy, and operational alignment throughout the deal lifecycle - from opportunity assessment through post-close integration. Responsible for financial modeling, due diligence, and execution of acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships, this team member reports directly to our Director of Corporate Development.

Location: preference for flexible hybrid location (onsite Meridian Idaho campus, and work-from-home); there may be opportunity for fully remote work within a mutually acceptable location. #LI-Remote; #LI-Hybrid

Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or related discipline; MBA or relevant advanced degree strongly preferred.

Required Experience: 10 years' relevant field experience such as portfolio management, corporate development, and/or consulting. Experience should include 8+ years of progressive experience in corporate development, M&A, investment banking, management consulting, and/or related financial fields.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize strategic opportunities aligned with enterprise objectives; develop business cases and execution plans in collaboration with senior leaders.
  • Develop financial modeling, valuation, and scenario analysis to support investment decisions and transaction negotiations.
  • Build and handle relationships with advisors, consultants, and potential counterparties to propel enterprise pivotal initiatives.
  • Structure and negotiate complex transactions in partnership with Finance, Legal, and executive sponsors.
  • Lead all aspects of and coordinate due diligence across financial, operational, and legal domains to ensure full visibility into transaction risks and opportunities.
  • Prepare high-quality presentation materials and recommendations for senior leadership and Board review.
  • Partner with enterprise strategy, finance, and operations leaders to design and implement integration and value realization plans; establish metrics for post-close performance tracking.
  • Develop and maintain financial templates, models, and best practices for use across the Corporate Development function.

Your day may also look like:
  • Serves as a senior transaction lead on enterprise-level initiatives with material strategic and financial impact.
  • Individual contributor responsible for valuation, modeling, and deal execution.
  • Provides expert financial analysis and strategic guidance to inform decision-making at the executive and Board levels.
  • Partners directly with senior executives to shape corporate strategy and capital deployment priorities.
  • Owns the development and maintenance of valuation methodologies, transaction models, and market benchmarks for the organization.
  • Ensures that post-close value creation plans are financially grounded and measurable.
  • Accountable for accuracy, consistency, and insight of financial models, valuations, and deal recommendations used in enterprise decision-making.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range is: $142,799 - $214,198. The position is eligible for an annual incentive bonus (variable depending on company and employee performance). The pay range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, internal equity, geography, business or organizational needs, and alignment with market data. At Blue Cross of Idaho, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top range for the position. Compensation decisions are dependent on factors and circumstances at the time of offer.
