Job Description
Jefferson Club House Inc. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Cook to join our team. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals in a supportive, community-based environment that serves individuals in our community or joining our community. This role plays a vital part in promoting wellness and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for all members and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines and member preferences
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures are followed
- Collaborate with staff and members to create weekly menus
- Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies
- Support members in developing cooking skills when appropriate
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and internal policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive clubhouse culture
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food preparation or kitchen work preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Compassionate and respectful attitude
