Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Resolves customer inquiries by utilizing SAP and departmental resources
- Develops and maintains documentation on all assigned customers/business units/locations
- Researches and works across functional areas to identify and resolve order accuracy, product availability, and order timeliness
- Processes standard orders received by customer or field sales (via telephone, fax, EDI, e-mail) including ensuring the invoicing of shipments in a timely and efficient manner
- Processes EDI orders, resolving any errors on both the inbound order, and outbound subsequent documents
- Communicates effectively with distribution facilities to ensure on-time shipment and delivery of customer orders, thus maintaining appropriate service levels
- Works effectively and professionally with the customer and with internal functional areas, to include, but not limited to: Distribution, Credit, Accounts Receivable, Sales & Operations Planning
- Delivers on defined operational goals and development plans, keeping Supervisor informed on progress, and ensures timely and accurate completion of work to goals.
- Supports RE025 SOX Audit control with weekly performance of self- and partner- order audits
- Performs other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Order Management team
- Consumer Products experience preferred
- Experience working with EDI preferred
- Experience working with enterprise systems such as SAP, Oracle, AS400, A+
- Experience multi- tasking and resolving problems in a professional manner
- Works well in an environment with firm deadlines; results oriented
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Polite and positive phone demeanor
- Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail, goal oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Perform multiple tasks effectively; prioritize and respond with appropriate sense of urgency
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- 3+ years of multi-product Customer Service experience and/or previous sales experience.
- Experience working with large customer base and high volume of transactions
- Experience working with Microsoft Office Products is necessary (Excel, Outlook)
- Corporate office environment or home office with frequent use of phone and PC
