Job Description
Employees are to operate various forms of light and heavy-duty machinery safely and efficiently. Preform daily maintenance on equipment and communicate with other employees and management effectively. We use late model large wheel loaders and other equipment to load material such as soil and compost into mobile screening plants to filter debris. As well as operate composting equipment. Employees must have very proficient wheel loader skills to move, pile and turn over material. They will be moving large quantities of materials like soil, compost, and rock to screening and separating facilities with wheel loaders and using self-propelled composting turners to turn raw cattle manure into a processed natural fertilizer for reapplication back into the soil. Job duties may include and are not limited to tasks such as cleaning work areas, hauling and spreading materials such as but not limited to fertilizer to condition the soil, load crops and drive trucks to transport to and from fields and/or storage locations or facilities, load and unload materials and commodities; operate self-propelled machinery; repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment; use hand tools such as such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, loppers, knives, wrenches, crow bars, air tools, and electric tools; operate wheel loaders and mobile screening plants. Equipment such as but not limited to the following will be used/operated by the workers in conjunction with the duties being performed: dirt moving equipment, forklift, manure spreading equipment, pickups, cars, etc., self-propelled machinery. The workers will be performing the duties to help produce sod, topsoil, compost, rock. Must maintain employee housing, equipment and travel vehicles. Employees will be required to wash, clean, and maintain vehicles, lawns, and landscaping. Must speak and understand English.
