Job Description
Martinez Masonry seeks 10 temporary, full-time Construction Laborers from April 1, 2026, to December 15, 2026. Employment is temporary and non-agricultural.
Work will be performed at multiple work sites throughout Idaho, including, but not limited to, Teton County.
Construction laborers perform physical tasks at construction sites. Duties include: cleaning and preparing sites; loading and unloading materials; using and operating hand and power tools such as air hammers, earth tampers, cement mixers, small hoists, surveying equipment, and other instruments; digging trenches; erecting scaffolding; supporting excavation work; removing debris and waste; assisting skilled craft workers; controlling traffic near work zones; signaling equipment operators; reading instructions, plans, or specifications; and distributing materials, tools, and machinery as required. Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
Wages & Hours
Workers will be paid a minimum of $21.00 per hour. Overtime will be paid at $31.50 per hour for hours worked more than 40 hours in a work week. Returning workers may receive higher wages based on seniority, merit, experience, or location. Overtime may be available, depending on the workload, but is not guaranteed.
A 40-hour workweek will be offered, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Saturday work may be required based on weather and project needs. The employer uses a single work week for wage computation and pays bi-weekly by check. Employers make all payroll deductions required by law.
Requirements
Three (3) months of experience in basic construction techniques required. The employer provides on-the-job training in the use of equipment and safety.
Transportation & Travel
The employer provides daily transportation at no charge from the designated pick-up location at the Driggs, ID main office to all worksites.
The Employer will provide a vehicle for work-related transportation. Limited personal use is allowed; however, the Employer covers fuel, maintenance, and insurance only for work-related travel. Fuel for personal use is the responsibility of the Employee.
Inbound/Outbound Transportation
If the worker completes 50% of the contract period, the employer will reimburse inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment. Upon completion of the contract or early dismissal, the employer will pay or provide return transportation and subsistence, except where the worker is not returning due to subsequent employment or voluntary abandonment. Subsistence will be paid at $16.28/day without receipts up to $68.00/day with receipts.
Tools & Equipment
The employer will provide all necessary tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no additional charge.
Visa Fees
The employer will reimburse all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and government-mandated fees in the first workweek.
Housing Assistance
Employers will assist workers in locating housing by connecting them with local rental agencies. The employer does not provide housing.
