About the job:

Based in Cascade Idaho, the Convoy Support Vehicle/4WD Truck Driver will work as part of the Convoy Support Team ensuring smooth, coordinated travel for fuel tankers and support vehicles. 

The focus in on safe driving, communication and general assistance as needed during each trip.  Most convoy trips are routine and completed without incident.  Support tasks are performed as conditions require.  

**THIS POSITION WILL RECEIVE A MINIMUM OF 40 HOURS OF PAY PER WEEK** 

The convoy route mostly consists of mountainous gravel service roads.  Each convoy trip will take approximately 8-10 hours.  We anticipate there will be 2 convoy trips per week in April & May, then increasing to 3-4 starting in June. 

Company-paid hotel lodging is available for employees that live outside of the Cascade area.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive a heavy-duty 4WD pick-up truck to lead the convoy in off-road terrain in all weather conditions;
  • Install tire chains and change tires as needed; 
  • Clear road hazards such as fallen trees and other blocking debris with chain saws and other power equipment;
  • Set booms to contain hazardous material if a spill happens in water;
  • Manage and maintain communication with all convoy vehicles

What We're Looking For:

  • 21 Years old or older;
  • Comfortable driving on gravel and mountain roads;
  • Valid driver license with a clean driving record;
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic;
  • Ability to work well in a team environment

Working Conditions:

  • Outdoor work in seasonal weather conditions - Always
  • Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds - Occasionally 
  • Reaching while holding power hand tools - Occasionally
  • Climbing, walking and standing on uneven gravel road surfaces, shoulders and surrounding areas - Regularly
