Position Description

As an Electrical EIT or Designer you will work with Senior Electrical Engineers, Architects and Project Managers in developing energy efficient, sustainable, and reliable engineering system concepts for all types of projects. This role also requires a demonstrated capability to conduct analyses of existing systems for developing successful engineering solutions to a variety of design conditions. This position produces drawings for power, lighting and special systems, and edits or writes specifications including coordination with outside consultants involved in the project.

Position Salary Range*

The expected salary range for this position is $71,000 to $86,000 annually.

Required Qualifications**

  • Education: A Bachelors degree or higher education in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualifications
  • Experience: 3 years of job-related experience or more in the building design industry
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and Revit
  • Core Knowledge: Analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as Electrical Engineering design skills in the Architectural Engineering field

Position Responsibilities***

  • Complete electrical power, lighting and special systems construction documents in Revit, AutoCAD
  • Coordinate project scope with all other disciplines through virtual meetings and Bluebeam group redlines
  • Complete voltage drop calculations, balance panel schedules and prove service capacity with a final load summary
  • Complete electrical and special systems specifications
  • Utilize software to analyze photometric information and include in lighting design
  • Complete all required energy code documentation per local authority
  • Take an active role in professional development
