Head Start Operations Manager

EICAP is seeking a Center Operations Manager to provide multi-site leadership across our Head Start and Early Head Start centers. This is a high-impact role supporting Center Managers, strengthening operational systems, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.

What You'll Do
As Center Operations Manager, you will:
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to Center Managers
- Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, state licensing, safety, and program governance requirements
- Oversee documentation, reporting practices, and regulatory compliance
- Support hiring, onboarding, pre-service training, and professional development
- Coordinate CPR training, staff development days, and parent orientations
- Lead monthly Center Manager collaboration meetings
- Evaluate center operations and implement process improvements
- Promote a positive, accountable workplace culture
- Monitor safety checks, active supervision practices, and playground safety
- Step in to support daily center operations when needed
- Assist with parent concerns, community engagement, and recruitment efforts
- You'll play a critical leadership role in maintaining program excellence, safety, and continuous improvement across multiple sites.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree preferred (relevant education and supervisory experience considered)
- Five or more years of supervisory experience preferred
- Experience in Head Start, Early Head Start, or a regulated early childhood/human services setting strongly preferred
- Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) Head Start Performance Standards and licensing requirements
- Strong leadership, coaching, and decision-making skills
- Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Professional, collaborative, solutions-focused approach
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
- Experience with CLASS or quality improvement systems is also valued.

Starting wage: $28.50 to 29.50 per hour, DOE
