Court Services Clerk II – Criminal

What You'll Do:
- Enter and manage critical case data in the statewide court database.
- Create cases and enter citations.
- File stamp legal documents to ensure statutory compliance.
- Process complaints, warrants, summonses, subpoenas.
- Prepare paperwork for Failure to Appear, Failure to Pay, and Default Judgments.
- Maintain accurate Register of Action entries.
- Route files to judges and appropriate personnel.
- Process credit card and electronic payments.
- Collect fines, costs, and restitution.
- Maintain daily cash balance and audit reports.
- Track and reconcile financial transactions accurately.
- Assist the public, attorneys, law enforcement, and outside courts.
- Respond to inquiries in person, by phone, fax, and mail.
- Provide procedural information (without giving legal advice).
- Maintain professionalism when working with high-risk or emotionally charged individuals.

What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Minimum 12 months of office experience (customer service preferred).
- Strong computer skills (50 wpm typing; Microsoft Office; database systems).
- Solid math skills with cash handling experience.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow complex legal instructions and court procedures.
- Must attend Idaho Institute of Court Management (IICM) when available.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with Idaho Code.
