Integrations Specialist Intern

Description
Position Summary
As a LONG Integration Specialist Intern, you will assist Integration Specialist and Security Technicians in various stages of security system installations according to project specifications. This role includes supporting the installation, performing warranty and emergency services, and conducting maintenance on installed systems
Pay Range: $20 per hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties or tasks assigned as required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the installation, servicing, programming and maintenance of both IP and analog-based security systems, including access control, video management, intrusion detection, IP intercoms, and mass communication systems.
- Support the development of project documentation by providing input for accurate "as-built" drawings.
- Assist with troubleshooting, documenting, and installing low-voltage systems.
- Attend construction meetings as required for individual projects.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical specifications to determine proper installation procedures.
- Learn current on emerging technologies to deliver innovative and effective solutions to clients.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Attend and perform training functions as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- Strong analytical skills in solving software and integration challenges.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
- Some working knowledge of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and willingness to accept responsibility and accountability.
- Strong customer service and analytical skills.
- Ability to interact with all levels of personnel to include department managers, project managers, engineers, sales, and controls technicians.
- Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- Enrollment in an Electronic Technical Program, Information Technology degree program or similar field of study strongly preferred.

Physical Requirements
- This work may involve standing for extended periods, climbing ladders or scaffolds, and working in tight spaces.
- This position may require lifting to 50 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
- This position may require climbing ladders and the ability to function at heights.
