Job Summary:
The schedule for this position is four 10-hour shifts rotating Monday/Friday work and Monday/Friday off. Every other weekend is a four day weekend!
The Medical Assistant performs various patient care activities and related services in caring for the needs and comfort of patients under the direction of the physician, mid-level provider or RN. Duties include (but are not limited to): obtaining basic assessment information, including vital signs, and point of care test; advocating for patients; administering prescribed medications, preparing exam rooms, procedure room, and assisting providers; documenting in the EMR according to TSH policy and procedures in a fast paced clinic setting.
Wage Range:
The wage range associated with this position will be based on licensure.
- MA Registered: $18.00 - $26.43
- MA Certified: $19.50 - $28.64
Skills and Abilities:
- Participates in maintaining a safe patient care environment
- Able to work in a team environment while maintaining a highly professional and productive work ethic
- Utilizing skills to provide patient care
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Computer skills, including electronic medical records systems
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Washington State Certified Medical Assistant
- Medical Assistant Registration
- Previous clinic experience preferred
