General Information:

The IDFG Eagle Complex is seeking one 5-mo Biological Aide (benefited) to assist with maintenance and hatchery related activities.

Dates Needed: April 13th, 2026 through December 4th, 2026. (Not to exceed eight months)

With or without reasonable accommodations, incumbents must be able to stand for long periods of time, safely drive for multiple hours per shift, and work in adverse weather conditions.

Incumbents will work 40 hours per week. Typical work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Occasional field travel and overnight stays.  Occasional weekend/holiday work required.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance: Lawn/landscaping maintenance will include operating riding lawn mowers, weed trimmers, and push mowers. Facility maintenance will include assisting with minor electrical, plumbing, and construction related remodels.

Hatchery: Weighing fish feed and feeding fish, cleaning and caring for fish rearing vessels, assist in the trapping and transporting anadromous Sockeye Salmon.  Sockeye Salmon spawning, egg husbandry, general fish culture, maintaining grounds and equipment, cleaning office and hatchery facilities, maintain hatchery files, data entry, and assisting with annual reports.
