Applications are now being accepted for a Temporary Administrative Clerk in the Human Resources Department at Ada County Highway District in Boise, Idaho.

This is a full-time, temporary position for approximately 8 weeks, and the hourly wage is $18.00 per hour.                                                                                 

Primary Responsibilities:

The Administrative Clerk will assist with general office duties in support of the Human Resources Department staff.
Will also provide information and customer service to the public and ACHD employees.
May assist with recruiting and hiring to include posting job announcements, reviewing applications/resumes, conducting telephone and in-person interviews, and making job offers. They will get practical experience regarding the importance of employment law and compliance, especially regarding employment eligibility, confidentiality, proper maintenance of employee files, and forms management.
The Temporary Administrative Clerk may also assist in the areas of new employee paperwork, maintenance of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and other report generation.
Qualifications:

Good knowledge of local, state and federal laws relating to employment practices, principles and practices of human resources as well as employee and public relations is preferred.
Some knowledge of payroll principles and practices and Human Resource Information Systems is desired. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills both orally and in writing.
Or any equivalent combination of education, experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be acceptable.
