Job Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic 7th-12th Grade Art Teacher to inspire creativity, foster artistic
growth, and cultivate a vibrant learning environment for students across middle and high school levels.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop engaging curricula, mentor young artists, and
integrate innovative learning technologies. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of artistic expertise,
classroom management skills, and a commitment to nurturing students’ individual talents and interests
in the visual arts.
Qualifications
- Idaho teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement(s).
- Strong background in teaching methods, developmentally appropriate classroom activities, and effective classroom management
- Demonstrated knowledge of subject matter and effective teaching methods
- Strong background in curriculum and the Idaho Core Standards
- Strong background in the integration of technology with instruction
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Work well with students, staff, and the public
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to work under deadlines
- Maintain confidentiality of staff and students
- Demonstrate consistent, daily attendance and punctuality. We believe that student achievement is directly tied to the consistency of instruction and the stability of the classroom environment
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Schedule: Four-day school week with periodic Friday work days- 174 contract days per school year
