Job Description

Primary Function:
Directs and coordinates the organization’s information technology systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and management information systems to support business operations and strategic goals. Performs these responsibilities personally or through subordinate staff, vendors, and service providers.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversees daily IT operations, including infrastructure, networks, systems, and cybersecurity.
  • Partner with management to identify technology needs, establish priorities, and implement solutions that improve efficiency and performance.
  • Oversee the reliability, security, and maintenance of networks, servers, software applications, telecommunications, and end-user systems.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, standards, and controls to ensure data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage IT budgets, technology investments, vendor relationships, and service contracts.
  • Lead disaster recovery, backup, and business continuity planning.
  • Supervise and develop IT staff while promoting accountability, customer service, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintains system documentation, licensing, and configuration records.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, and four to eight years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and business software systems, including financial and order processing systems.
  • Working knowledge of network administration, servers, cloud systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage vendors, and support multiple technical systems simultaneously.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and present a professional demeanor. 

Additional Requirements:

  • General knowledge of one or more of the following, DFARS 252.204-7012, NIST SP 800-171, CMMC preferred.
  • Preferred IT certification (A+, Network+, CCNA, Microsoft Certified Professional, etc.).
  • Preferred security certification (Security+, CISSP, CASP+, etc.).
  • Must hold or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.

The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of the conditions that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to maintain situational awareness and wear personal protective equipment necessary to mitigate these hazards. Premier Technology is a federal contractor, as such, this position will work on government contracts and requires that you are a US Citizen (not just authorized to work in the US). Regular, predictable, and on-site attendance is an essential function of this position. Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit in a stationary position for extended periods of time while working at a computer. The employee is frequently required to walk and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet – typical of what is generally found in an office setting. The employee will occasionally find it necessary to enter a manufacturing environment. The manufacturing environment is typical of that type of setting – employees may be exposed to inclement weather, loud noises, tripping hazards; and there may be exposure to sparks, welding arc, open flame, and moving equipment.
