Job Description

This job is a seasonal position which will be from 8/15/2026 to 11/30/2026. Six (6) months recent and verifiable experience required for the job duties listed. Must be able to obtain appropriate driver's license following hire and obtain clean driving record. Be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Once hired, worker may be required to take a random drug test at no cost to the worker.  Testing positive for an illegal/controlled substance or failure to comply may result in immediate termination from employment. Operating self-propelled equipment that reaps, harvests, threshes, swathes, or winnows a variety of crops such as corn; performing manual or mechanical adjustments to equipment; performing safety checks on equipment; maintaining and repairing equipment and other tools; driving pack tractor or truck (10 & 18 wheel) with trailer for transporting crops to elevators, silos, or other storage areas, and transporting equipment and other tools used for harvesting from one field to another. While some workers may possess a CDL, it's not a requirement of the job. Work performed on farm locations controlled/operated by R&L Greenchop may include general maintenance and cleanup of worksite, farm structures, farm grounds; use of self-propelled equipment such as tractor; picking rocks; driving feed truck; moving irrigation pipe by hand.
